It is forged from 1095 and 15N20 high-carbon steel, forge-welded together in 256+ layers. The pattern runs through the steel itself, visible on the spine, the edge bevel, and the flat. The blade is clay-tempered for a genuine hamon temper line, hardened to HRC 60–62 at the edge and left tough at the spine. It runs 28.5 inches, weighs 2.4 lbs, and sits on a full-tang that extends unbroken from kissaki to handle base.
