Most knives sold as Damascus online are acid-etched stainless. The pattern is printed on the surface. Underneath is soft, uniform steel that dulls fast and disappoints immediately. If you have experienced that before, this page is for you.
Our Damascus Knife is hand-forged in Wazirabad from 1095 and 15N20 high-carbon steel, forge-welded together in 67 layers. The pattern runs through the steel itself, visible on the spine, the bevel, and the flat. The blade runs 8 inches for the chef version, hardened to HRC 58–60, and sits on a full-tang construction that runs unbroken from tip to handle base.Â
Available as a single chef knife, Japanese-style Damascus chef knife, and kitchen knife set. Handle options include stabilized wood, G10 composite, and resin-cast designs. The damascus steel knives in our sale are forged and finished in our Wazirabad workshop, verified against its listing, and shipped free across the USA.

“I’ve used a lot of kitchen knives. This Damascus chef knife is on a different level. The edge holds longer than anything else I’ve used, the Damascus pattern is genuinely beautiful, and the balance in hand is perfect. I checked the steel on the spine — the pattern runs all the way through. Real Damascus, no question.” — Chef Marco R., New York
“Bought this after being burned by a fake Damascus knife from another site. The difference is immediate — real weight, real pattern depth, real cutting performance. The 15-degree bevel is noticeably sharper than my old knives. Plus Traders are the real deal.” — Sarah K., California
“Ordered the full kitchen set. Every knife in the set has matching Damascus pattern and identical handle finish. The chef knife and utility knife get daily use in my restaurant prep kitchen. Four months in — still holding a razor edge with just weekly honing.” — James T., Texas
“Gifted the Damascus chef knife to my father who has cooked professionally for 30 years. He examined the bevel, tested the edge, and checked the pattern on the spine. His verdict: best knife he has received as a gift in his career. High praise from a serious cook.” — Emily B., Ohio

+ Satisfied Customers
A Damascus knife is a knife forged from pattern-welded Damascus steel and made by forge-welding two or more steel types together in layers. The pattern you see on the blade is structural, running through the steel itself. Our Damascus knives use 1095 and 15N20 high-carbon steel in 67 layers, producing a blade that is both visually stunning and genuinely high-performing in kitchen use.
Real Damascus has a pattern that runs through the steel, visible on the spine, the edge bevel, and both sides of the flat. If the pattern disappears when you scratch the surface or polish the blade, it is acid-etched stainless, not real Damascus. Our knives are genuine pattern-welded steel, the pattern is in the steel itself.
Yes, when made correctly. The combination of 1095 and 15N20 steel in our Damascus produces a blade that holds a sharper edge longer than most single-steel kitchen knives and is tougher under daily use. The 15-degree bevel gives you a thinner, cleaner cut than standard Western kitchen knives ground at 20–25 degrees.
Our 8-inch Damascus chef knife is our most versatile kitchen blade; suited for meat, vegetables, fish, and general prep work. The 67-layer Damascus steel holds its edge well with regular honing and occasional sharpening on a whetstone.
Hand wash only, no dishwasher. Dry immediately after washing. Occasional light oiling keeps the Damascus pattern vivid and prevents surface oxidation. Sharpen on a whetstone at 15 degrees per side. We include full care instructions with every knife.

Yes. Japanese Damascus chef knives are ground to a thinner edge bevel, typically 15 degrees per side versus 20–25 degrees on Western knives. This gives a cleaner, more precise cut. Our Damascus chef knives follow the Japanese grinding standard.
