A dragon katana is one of those pieces that commands a room the moment it is displayed. The dragon is not a sticker or a printed pattern on our samurai sword, it is carved, cast, or wrapped directly into the handle and tsuba, giving the sword a three-dimensional presence that photographs cannot fully capture.
Our Dragon Katana is hand-forged in Wazirabad from 1095 high-carbon steel, clay-tempered for a genuine hamon, and hardened to HRC 60–62 at the cutting edge. The blade runs 28.5 inches on a full-tang construction, weighing 2.5 lbs. The dragon handle is available in black dragon or gold dragon finish. This is not a wall decoration dressed up with a dragon sticker. It is a properly forged katana; clay-tempered, hamon-lined, full-tang with dragon artwork applied by craftsmen who build the blade and the fittings in the same workshop. Every piece is verified against its listing before it ships from Wazirabad.

“The black dragon katana is the most visually striking piece in my entire collection. The cast dragon handle has real depth and detail; nothing like the flat printed versions I’ve seen elsewhere. And the blade underneath is a properly forged, clay-tempered katana. You can see the hamon clearly. Exceptional piece.” — Michael B., California
“Bought the dragon king katana a display centerpiece. It looks like something from a museum. The dragon fittings are three-dimensional and beautifully finished, the saya is flawless, and the blade has a genuine hamon. Plus Traders built something special here.” — David R., Texas
“I was worried the dragon handle would feel cheap — that’s been my experience with other decorative katanas. This one is completely different. The cast metal dragon is solid and detailed, the blade is real 1095 steel, and the whole piece feels like it cost twice what I paid. Free shipping was a bonus.” — Nathan K., Ohio
“Gifted the black dragon katana to my brother who collects Japanese swords. He examined every fitting carefully — the tsuba detail, the habaki fit, the hamon line — and said it was the best value dragon katana he had ever handled. High praise from a serious collector. Will be ordering the gold version for myself.” — Steven W., New York

A dragon katana is a Japanese-style sword featuring dragon-themed artwork on the handle, tsuba, and often the saya. The dragon is one of the most significant symbols in both Japanese and Chinese culture, representing power, wisdom, and strength. On our version, the dragon is cast into the handle fittings and tsuba as three-dimensional metalwork, not a printed or stickered pattern.
Our dragon handle features a cast metal dragon wrap applied over the handle core; giving it a three-dimensional sculpted appearance. It is not painted or printed. The dragon detail is physical and visible from every angle.
Our dragon katana is a fully functional blade, clay-tempered 1095 high-carbon steel, full-tang, hand-sharpened. It is also an exceptional display piece.
The black dragon version features a black-finished cast dragon handle, black iron tsuba with dragon relief, and a black lacquered saya. The blade itself carries the natural steel finish with a visible hamon from clay tempering. It is our most popular dragon variant.
The black dragon version has a dark oxidized finish on all metal fittings. The handle, tsuba, and saya hardware are giving it a striking, aggressive look. The gold dragon version features gold-toned cast fittings against a black saya; more ornate and ceremonial in appearance.
It is one of the best collector gifts available at this price point. The visual impact on unboxing is exceptional, the three-dimensional dragon handle, the lacquered saya, the real steel blade. It works as a gift for collectors, martial arts enthusiasts, fantasy fans, and anyone who appreciates genuine handcraft.

In Japanese tradition, the dragon represents power, protection, and wisdom. A dragon katana was historically associated with warriors and leaders who wished to carry those qualities into battle. As a collector piece, it represents strength and craftsmanship; two things our Wazirabad workshop has built its reputation on for four generations.
